Tier 1 - Road Show:
Schools invited to attend a Road show (learning walk) at a Hub School, School Headteacher and Leader of Reading will attend and receive £700 for attending the Roadshow.
During the Roadshow they will have an opportunity to observe high quality systematic synthetic phonics teaching and teaching of reading in Year 2 through reciprocal Reading in an outstanding setting.
Each school attending will have the opportunity to work with a specialist literacy teacher to enable leaders to implement a thorough action plan for the development of Reading.
Tier 2 - 3-day support from a Literacy Specialist
Each school will have the opportunity to work with a Literacy Specialist to review and audit current practice. The Literacy Specialist will work alongside teachers to ensure consistently of practice and develop a consistent whole school approach to deliver excellent early language and the teaching of Reading in Key Stage 1.
Tier 3 - Matched Funding of Resources
The English Hub can provide up to £6000 of matched funding to support schools with Reading resources and training to deliver excellent early language and the teaching of Reading in Key Stage 1.
